Experimenting, shaping, interpreting paper “beyond the usual” to be able to design creatively in the field of graphic design for publishing. This is the objective we have set ourselves with the “Classici in carta” project, aimed at students of the Graphics for Communication course IED Firenze who have tried to re-interpreting the covers of some great literary classics, shaping eco-sustainable papers of high quality, made available by the specialized companies ICMA Sartorial Paper and Fontana Grafica. Odyssey, Divine Comedy, The Invisible Cities but also Alice in Wonderland, Cappuccetto Rosso and Pinocchio, are same of the names of the 38 titles on which the students worked, have covers that are “wordless” but full of emotions.
We talked about it together on Friday 24 September at the webinar organized by Packaging Première.
The covers were exhibited at the Pavilion of Contemporary Art – PAC Milan from 5 to 7 October as part of the Packaging Première Collection.
